The Backstory

Their story began back in 2017 when they briefly met through a mutual friend, Ryan Fox. Little did they know, their paths would cross unknowingly several times over the years until fate finally brought them together at Ryan’s birthday party in November 2021. It was there that Chris and Jess got to know each other for the first time. Chris, ever the gentleman, was heading to the appetizer table when Jess, someone he had never really spoken to before, stopped him to ask how he had been. To this day, no one knows what prompted Jess to approach Chris—some jokingly attribute it to “divine intervention” (Chris’s opinion), while others might suggest a touch of liquid courage. Regardless, after exchanging numbers that night, it took Jess all of 10 minutes to text Chris once he left, and they immediately made plans to see each other again the following weekend.

Their first date was nothing short of magical, as Chris visited Jess in Ocean City along with his loyal sidekick, Rylee—the same place where Chris’s parents had met 40 years prior. What started as a casual weekend getaway quickly blossomed into spending every available moment together, and before they knew it, they were inseparable. After just a few short months, Jess made the leap and moved in with Chris in Washington Crossing, solidifying their bond and paving the way for their journey toward marriage.

Their engagement in November 2022 marked the official beginning of their next chapter together, and as they planned their wedding day, Chris and Jess were overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support they received from their family and friends. They couldn’t wait to celebrate their union surrounded by their favorite people, knowing that their love story was just the beginning of a lifetime of happiness and adventures together.

The Venue
